The Idea After deciding to live in Spain during the winter, Perle and I bought Finca la Majadilla in the mountains above Malaga. I am active in the Grasstrack Motorcycle scene and return to the UK in the summer to race. |

Finca la Majadilla is a newly built villa in the traditional Andalucian style set in 2 ½ acres of olives, 2 miles from the Moorish village of Alozaina. The house is on a south-facing hillside, affording breathtaking 360-degree views of the Sierras. The area, known as the Sierra de las Nieves, was designated a Biosphere and National Park by Unesco in 1970 and is therefore unspoilt. | |
We both wanted something to do and decided to buy some bikes and have similarly minded people stay for biking breaks over the winter. We settled on the BMW 650 GS, which are capable of 2-up riding so partners need not be left at home. We have decided to be totally flexible so that guests can do as they want when they want. I love biking and Perle loves creating food and we both love this relaxing part of Spain. | ![]() |

The Spanish love bikes and the mountain tracks are numerous and mapped, ready for your exploration. The main roads are mostly new and in superb condition ideal for that trip to see some of the real Spain, such as Ronda and the Moorish white villages. Granada, Malaga, Marbella, Cordoba, Antequera and Gibraltar are all possible day rides. |
